Still lost

Though the weekend is about to begin/alread has begun for most of you out there, your old reliable Tacologic is still toiling away, getting the tunes out to you! Here's that Lost Luggage set to check out. This is back from a time where the DJs didn't name their sets, so you get the generic date title. Oh how we've grown!

Lost Luggage - 4-7-05

Quick note

Lost Luggage's first set will be available for download later today. And just for kicks, the set will play at Noon EST. Bye!

Humbled by Zanzibar's smarts

Wow. That was mad good. Mad crazy, made rockin', mad boppin'. Those of you that checked it out know what I'm talking about. Everybody else should click this link:

Zanzibar - Mad Intelligence

Podcast it, iTunes it, whatever. Just check it out!

Tomorrow we're going to start "Flashback Friday", which is a weekly feature where I'll play an "old" set that was previously played here on Coup d'Taco, but was never available for direct download. I think first up will be Lost Luggage's, as some sort of a beacon for him to come back and make more music.

Zanzibar: Tanned, rested and ready

Ready to rock your socks off that is! DJ Z claims that this is his best set for Coup d'Taco to date. That's a pretty lofty statement, considering his body of work... But who are we to doubt him? Find out for sure today at Noon and 10 PM EST. Podcast link coming later today as well as a tracklisting. But oooh! His DJ picture is updated now. Snazzy!

In, out and about Blerg

By the time you read this, Blerg's set will be wrapping up. Excellent stuff! I don't know if I could have made a crazier, happier, better mix if I tried. But I'm certainly going to try. Tracklist is up on the right. And here's the podcast slash direct download link:

Blerg - Suppressing the Self-Preservation Instinct

The set will be on again tonight at 10 PM EST. Later this week we have Zanzibar's latest and the first ever set on Coup d'Taco. Spread the love.

T-minus one hour and counting until Blerg

You read correctly, one hour to go until we get to hear a new Blerg set. Get excited. Set your watches and timers and iTuneses. Noon and 10 PM EST. Direct link for podcasting later today, as well as a set list. Vrooooom!

How bout some Blerg?

Hello,

Blerg has just put the finishing touches on her latest set. It's going to be on tomorrow at Noon and 10 PM EST and is more fun than senior citizens playing fly swatter volleyball. Later this week we'll have a new set by Zanzibar. Laterer than that, I'm going to start uploading old sets so they can be downloaded/podcasted, because I realize the You Send It solution didn't work for everybody.

2 Many 2 Handle

Good stuff right? I had to include No Fun vs. Push It as it's probably the most famous 2 Many DJs mash, as well as Peter Gunn (Emerson Lake and Palmer's version) vs. Where's Your Head At? because I think it's a great way to start a set. Bam!

So here's the MP3 to download or podcast to: 2 Many DJs - Radio Soulwax 1997, As Heard on Radio Soulwax pt5 Enjoy!

There's a bunch of new sets coming too. Zanzibar, jon.dus, Blerg, Tacologic and if I can ever pin him down, Lost Luggage. Two next week.

We have 2 Many DJs

Greetings to new Coup d'Taco fans and old standbys. The podcasting has started with a bang! For those of you who aren't on board yet, check out Apple Podcasting. The RSS feed here is: http://feeds.feedburner.com/Coupdtaco. Here's an Odeo link too: My Odeo Channel (Code: f726e9f4af15e602)

With all that out of the way, let me tell you all a bit about today's new set if you're not in the know. 2 Many DJs are a couple guys from across the pond that were among the pioneers of the mash up and the new DJ sound you hear in clubs these days. If you liked Dexter's set, and stuff along the lines of Love And Beats, jon.dus and Zanzibar, You'll dig this too. And a word of caution... I downloaded the music off the interweb, so I'm not 100% sure they're 2 Many DJs. But even if it's not, it's great listening.

As per usual, it'll be on at Noon and 10 PM EST. Direct link to the MP3 and podcast later today.

Podcasting! Finally!

Hey everyone,

So the time has come to finally get ont the podcasting wagon. So check it out, here's the direct link to the new Love and Beats set: Love And Beats - Guitarget, Japplied Science Please download it to disk and check it out there. The RSS feed for Coup d'Taco is: http://feeds.feedburner.com/Coupdtaco . That link should hopefully work. I'm new to the whole podcasting thing myself, but here's hoping I'm a quick learner. If any of you can tell me wonderful places where I can tell the world to find this podcast, do let me know.

Spread the love.

Love and Beats set today!

Hey everyone, sorry for the delay. Wanted to actually get stuff accomplished instead of telling people it will be done "soon". But first of all, we have a new Love and Beats set today. It's called Guitargets, Japplied Science. The first half is a lot of guitar rock, and the second half is a lot of Japanese music. Pretty interesting ying and a yang. It'll be good. Noon and 10 PM EST as per usual. The set will be available for download later today in a special new way. Oooooh suspence! I'll also have a new set for you tomorrow (which will repeat Monday) and it's going to be supercool as well.

Uppy down

Lots of things to talk about today, so let's get started.

First of all, due to a server upgrade, Coup d'Taco will be off the air from about midnight EST tonight until sometime probably in the afternoon tomorrow. I'm going to take that time to do upgrades as well.

I've finally found what seems to be a good podcating solution. So over the next few days, I'm going to see if I can upload all the old sets so they'll be available for direct download. I'll also have it set up so new sets will be podcastable. I'm quite excited about this.

And finally, here's what might be the last You Send It link for awhile.

Blerg - Deja Vu All Over Again

Thursday, July 14, 2005

Blerg, an official success!

That's what I'm talking about! I'm glad that many of you tuned in to listen to Blerg's brand new set Deja Vu All Over Again. If you missed it, it'll be on again at 10 PM and randomly after that. Personally, I think I could listen to the Beastie Boys' cover of I'm down a thousand times in a row and am so glad she put it on.

You'll also notice that Blerg is now on the official DJ roster and the tracklisting is up. An MP3 of the set will be up later tonight or tomorrow.

Step up Blerg!

Because you're the next "official" DJ of Coup d'Taco. Yay! Can I get an amen? How about a round of applause. Wooooot! Her new set, Deja Vu All Over Again, is going to be on today at Noon and 10 PM and as with the rest of them, it's very enjoyable. Tracklisting will be up later today and the MP3 either tonight or tomorrow.

Little updates

Hello Coup fans. So this week is still slightly up in the air about what's going on. Thursday (Noon and 10 PM natch) will be the day that DJ Blerg makes the jump from guest DJ to full-fledged Coup d'Taco DJ and hopefully you're all as excited as I am about this. I've also heard rumors of a Lost Luggage set, but he's... lost. Missing in action as it were. So as soon as he gets that to me, I'll play it for you all.

I also updated the tracks that have names to show what they are through your iTunes/Winamp/whatever player. Shut is hard at work, I hope, on the webpage and things are looking up!

Tacologic repeat

For those of you that missed it, my new set will be playing again today at Noon and 10 PM EST. It's already available for download if you go back a post too. Happy listening.

Asbestos Taco

Some of you checked out my latest set, some of you didn't. Good thing it's playing again at 10 PM tonight and on Monday at Noon and 10 again (for those of you lucky bastards with summer hours). And for a sneak cheat, the tracklisting is up on the right. And what's this? A direct link via You Send it? Alright!

Tacologic - Obsessed With Asbestos

Cough cough

I'm not feeling that well today. Perhaps it's because I've been hanging around the asbestos heap a bit too much today. This is because I am obsessed with asbestos. And when I say that, I am totally lying, because it's merely the name of my new set. And it's going to be on today at Noon and 10 PM EST. Lots of old favorites, new favorites, funny bits and randomness. Check it out!

Like wow

We're right in the middle of jon.dus' 80's set, and it's been a great stroll down memory lane. However most of you haven't tuned in to find this out for yourselves. To tempt you, the tracklisting is now up on the right so you can see what you missed, and what is to come. And here's a link via You Send It so you can listen to it whenever you want.

jon.dus - 80's Coup

I love the 80's

and so does jon.dus. So much that he made a four hour set of 80s music that will be on today at Noon and 10 PM EST. Tracklisting will be available, and the set will be downloadable later today.

I've not heard from Lost Luggage about the status of his latest set, so I'm going to go with my set on Friday (if I can get it together). and if not then, early next week.

jon.dus.delay

Hey everyone, technical difficulties are going to prevent me from putting up jon.dus' set at Noon EST today, though it probably will be on at 10 PM EST. Tomorrow, it'll be on at Noon for all you day time listeners.

Sorry about that!

Current Events

Hello Coup fans. Hope you all had a nice 4th of July weekend if you're in a place that celebrates it. If not, Happy Tuesday. Here's what's up for this week.

Today: Noon and 10 PM EST will once again be DJ Dexter's set. For those of you who haven't listened yet, I do recommend it. Great listening.

Wednesday: Boy do I have a treat for you! A double shot of jon.dus! And his theme is The 80s. So at Noon and 10 PM EST, there will be four straight hours of 80's music coming your way. If that's not a great thing, I don't know what is.

Thursday: New set by either Lost Luggage or myself. Not sure which one, but I'll let you all know tomorrow night.

Supergroove

DJ Dexter's set is done, and though it took a little encouragement, a bunch of you checked it out, which rocks. I'm not lying when I say that Dexter and The Avalanches totaly changed how I listen to and appreciate DJ music. If I can find the tracklisting, I'll post it, but right now I don't have it. But what I do have is the set for download. Check it out and have a great 4th.

DJ Dexter - Triple J Mixup

From a land down under

If I'm judging when this will show up in everybody's world correctly, the incredible, awesome, wonderful set by DJ Dexter will be playing very shortly. Starting at about Noon EST, and of course later tonight at 10 PM EST. It's one of the big influences behind Coup d'Taco and I highly recommend checking it out. Dexter is one of the most incredible DJs I've ever seen do his thing, and the set will leave you with a smile on your face.
